Early Days

People is my thing. Whether I'm entertaining people, photographing people or working with people, I get genuine enjoyment seeing people enjoy and engage with what I do.

From a young age I've worked in the entertainment industry. I got the bug when my teachers noticed I wasn't in class, and often found me in the theatre hall. So from here, they knew the only way I'd engage would be in performing arts, and they weren't wrong.

First Contract

My first professional contract came with (the then called) Action Transport Theatre, now Theatre Porto as Lampwick in the touring version of Pinocchio. I had the time of my life with lots of fond memories.

From here I was honoured to be part of the new branding launch for Butlins in 1999 - 2000. Touring the newly refurbished three sites across the UK, and performing in some of the most professional and technical shows such as Casper the Musical which went on to London's West End, I met some truly amazing directors, choreographers and talent.

Touring Life

Going freelance had its ups and downs, and a lot of the work is often word of mouth or strenuous auditions. I'm thankful for the people I have met on the way, who have allowed me to perform in beautiful theatre and huge arenas.

From 80's tributes to ABBA Reunions, I've had my spandex pants nearly ripped apart from raving crowds and escorted by security to avoid screaming fans. Would I do it all again? In a heartbeat.

Settling Down

Touring life was hard. Not having my own place to work out of, I would often stay at friends, living out of a suitcase. So I settled back up north, with my Partner Pete and got a 'real job'. Working for homeless charities, then Apple and now design in HR, I continue to work with people.

I still dip my toe in now and again, working with charities such as Tip Top Productions, or voicing TV and Radio commercials, I'm still being creative. Which leads me to setting up my own DJ & Photography business. Originally set up before Covid, but stopped before I could start, now I'm ready to begin a new chapter of this journey called life.
